1.   Services Provided

Soma Education offers one-on-one tutoring sessions and small group sessions in various subjects. Our services include but are not limited to:

-       K-12 academic tutoring adhering to the NSW school curriculum

-       Test preparation (Opportunity Class Test, Selective High School Test etc.)

-       Study skills and strategies

2.   Enrolment and Fees

To enrol, guardians must complete the registration form and submit with required payment. Payment is to be made in advance for a package of 5 sessions.

Accepted payment methods include cash and electronic funds transfer. 

3.   Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session will result in the full session fee being forfeited.

If notice is given in advance of 48 hours, sessions may be rescheduled to a mutually agreed-upon time during the school holiday period following the date of the missed lesson unless your tutor has other availability during the school term. The rescheduled lesson may be online if an in-person tutor is unavailable.

If the rescheduled lesson is not arranged by the following school holiday period, the full session fee will be forfeited.

 If a class is cancelled by the tutor at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund for that session will be provided.

 4.   Termination

Parents are not bound by a long-term tutoring contract and are free to discontinue services at any time. Any unused sessions will be fully refunded.

5.   Session Duration

Each tutoring session must be a minimum of 45 minutes for each subject.

Lessons are run on a weekly basis and cannot be changed. The term length is fixed and must adhere to our course dates.

6.   Tutor Assignment

Soma Education will assign a suitable tutor based on the student’s needs. We reserve the right to change tutors if necessary with prior notice to the guardian.  

Rescheduled lessons may not be with your regular tutor depending on availability. If a regular tutor is unavailable due to illness, a substitute tutor may be assigned.
